Salford’s Lee Mossop says facing Wigan in Super League play-offs is ‘perfect game’

Salford Red Devils’ Lee Mossop claims their game against Wigan Warriors in the Super League play-offs is your”best match” for these.
They finished third and procured their place but, following a successful season under the guidance of coach Ian Watson although many tipped Salford for relegation.
Prop Mossop, that transferred out of Wigan, says since they seem to create the semi-finals, it is the perfect game for them.
He explained:”We’re full of confidence at the minute. We have got Wigan this week and it’s the perfect game for us.
“They’ve been here each year, they are reigning champions, and they know how to win these games. It’ll give us a fantastic idea of where we’re at.
“Although we are not disrespecting them, we’re very confident going up against them.”
A win against Leeds Rhinos a couple of weeks confirmed their spot before it was verified on Friday using a victory against Hull.
They so are targeting the Grand Final and have.
Mossop said:”We are obviously very pleased where we are but happy enough however. See where it takes us and we want to keep moving within these play-offs.
“In the beginning of the seasonwe were getting beat by two points, four points, and we just couldn’t put our finger on why.
“We thought that if we establish our aims we can challenge most teams but it simply was not happening.
“Luckily enough, we have managed to turn it around. We are on a run and, with every game, we are getting an increasing number of confidence.
“In the adversity we’ve faced this year, the small squad we had, along with the fiscal things behind the scenes – it is all contributing to that fairytale ending”
